Stockport Metro Swimming Club

Stockport Metro Swimming Club is a competitive swimming club based in Stockport, England. Founded in 1974, the club has a membership of approximately 230 swimmers. Stockport Metro is home to one of the most acclaimed coaching and competitive swimming programmes in Great Britain. The club has produced a number of national and international swimmers, including Olympic medalists James Goddard and Stephen Parry. Stockport Metro trains at Life Leisure Grand Central, which is one of the fastest short course pools in the country. The club hosts a number of annual meets, including the Spring Open Meet and the November Open Meet.
